Plane carrying Michelle Obama aborts landing

The American authorities federal aviation said a plane carrying Michelle Obama abandoned landing Monday after his arrival too close to a military cargo jet.

The Federal Aviation Administration said that a Boeing 737, the fleet of presidential aircraft, came to within five kilometres of a C-17 massive as aircraft approached Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland to the Earth.

The FAA requires a minimum separation of eight kilometres between plans to avoid the dangerous wake turbulence.

Andrews Air ordered traffic controllers plane of Ms. Obama to abort its landing and the circle of the airport to give time to larger aircraft to clear the runway.

The FAA reviewed the incident as a possible error by the controllers in a regional radar facility in Warrenton, Virginia.

(CNN) -- A twin-engine propeller plane crashed into a house in North Carolina on Wednesday, killing two people on board, authorities said.

The small plane crashed into a High Point neighborhood -- clipping one home before crashing into a second and sparking a fire, said Capt. Denita Lynch of the city's fire department. The people in the house were inside at the time of the crash, but were able to escape unscathed.

The fire was extinguished.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the plane was a Hawker Beechcraft BE58 en route to nearby Winston-Salem, but was diverted to nearby Greensboro's Piedmont Triad International Airport because of severe weather.
