Ariane 5 successfully launch number 50 from French Guiana yesterday. We profiled the Ariane 5 a while back, and expect great things from the ESA flagship rocket. Despite a failed first start, it played an important role in space research. ?Although mainly used for the placement of telecommunications satellites in orbit, the Ariane 5 important missions such as the Rosetta Comet spacecraft explore started.

The Ariane 5 is an incredible rocket! There are still plans to make a man rated vehicle '? aka the CTV (crew transfer vehicle) variant of the ATV. Probably bothered these plans of the global economic downturn? Or is ESA promote?
