Today, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden was the winner in the upcoming bidding be space shuttle orbiter retreat home to one of the NASA. Bolden selected the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the California Science Center, the Intrepid Sea, air and Space Museum in New York City and the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, outside Washington, D.C.
Bolden did the announcement during a ceremony at the Kennedy Space Center with the 30th anniversary of the first space shuttle flight. But the word of Bolden and the other speakers mentioned was "bitter" - because today a mixture of grief, that the orbiter will be withdrawn, while still flight worthy and happiness that the program has achieved so much.
