What is aircraft of the future look like?

Is about as aircraft of the future look like? Project NACRE (new aircraft concepts research) has developed this aircraft in the sense of future flyers, for long-haul flights and can accommodate up to 750 passengers. Measuring 65 feet long, 19 meters high with a span of almost 100 feet, is the maximum takeoff weight of the simulated flying wing about 700 tonnes. The Deutsche Zentrum für Luft und Raumfahrt (German Center for air and space;) (DLR) has to simulate the flight testing and to study the flight characteristics of the great "flying wing" configurations for future aircraft designs, with special aircraft research aircraft ATTAS (advanced technologies testing aircraft system), the special software and hardware that can mimic the flight characteristics and performance of an entirely different aircraft prepare.

What are concepts some other future aircraft?

Airbus fantasy plane. Credit: Airbus

Airbus has called this concept in mind - a fantasy plane-, could efficiently long because of its more fuel, curled wings, a u-shaped tail and a lightweight body be. This could be the way aircraft search in the year 2030, Airbus says, and will have advanced interior systems, and are much quieter than current aircraft.

This concept of supersonic aircraft nicknamed Boeing symbol II has can wear V-tails and upper surface motors, 120 passengers in a two classes, establishment of single-aisle and can cruise Mach 1.8 with a range of about 5,000 nautical miles at Mach 1.6,.

Boeing's sugar volts is much less fuel use, reduce noise and take off from a short distance. Credit: Boeing

Another concept of Boeing is that the sugar-Volt, a drive system electrical battery hybrid - can reduce gas turbine to the fuel consumption by more than 70 percent and total energy consumption by 55 percent. This fuel consumption reduction and the "greening" which can the network life cycle carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions significantly reduce. Hybrid electric propulsion has the potential to takeoff to shorten distance and reduce noise.

Aircraft or flying fish? This is a DLR Smartfish is called.

This is called the SmartFish, and uses a design "lifting body", which means that the entire aircraft works offer lift, rather than just the wings. The concept for this aircraft is a slim shape and material construction, thus less drag, and thus less thrust for flight. The wings and fuselage form an integrated, futuristic design. Fly this aircraft can without slats, flaps or spoilers, which means that increases fuel efficiency. See more on the SmartFish website.

That are only a few concepts testing and will be developed for the future of flight. Learn more about NASA's work on the future of aviation here.
